Daisy Burnham on Sea
Hello lovelies my name is Jo Fellowes and I'm the Daisy Birthing & Parent Teacher covering Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury & Burnham on Sea. I have two boys and two very different birth experiences and it's these two experiences that have shaped my career path from a short spell training as a midwife to a career in health promotion and teaching and training. My first birth was not the positive experience I'd hoped for, if I'm honest it left me feeling negative and cheated and this stayed with me for many years so when I came across Daisy Birthing with my second son the essence of it really resonated with me. I was going to make sure that this time I had a different experience! I attended two terms of Daisy Birthing and I was able to achieve something that I hadn't first time round and that was a truly amazing positive birth experience. My passion for helping women was once again ignited and so I contacted the Daisy Foundation and was lucky enough to begin my training. I now have the best job in the world :-)
